Product queries

Do I have a choice of which products I can put in the machine?

As a NESTLÉ® MULTISNACK® customer you will be offered a range of over 100 different confectionery, snacks and drinks products to choose from. In addition to NESTLÉ® Confectionery, our range includes the UK's favourite brands such as Walkers, McCoys, Mars, McVities, Kellogg's, Buxton, and more. Every product in our range has been rigorously test vended to ensure that your customers will have a successful vend with every selection they make. We cannot guarantee that products introduced to the machines which have not been tested by us, will vend properly. To ensure that the products in your machine vend successfully, we advise that you stock products from our carefully selected range. Please browse our products page for more information.

Can I buy products from my local wholesaler?

We can guarantee the best ongoing trade prices on NESTLÉ® Confectionery when you buy via MULTISNACK@P&H a bespoke arrangement with our product partner, Palmer & Harvey, for NESTLÉ® MULTISNACK® customers only. You can also be assured that we maintain competitive prices on all other products in our range so there is no need to shop anywhere else. However, if you wish to use another supplier, please contact us to discuss other options.

The site I work at has been asked to include some products in our machine which are compliant with the School Food Trust guidelines. What options do I have from your range?

We have a range of both snack and drink products which are compliant with the SFT guidelines. These can be incorporated into your range to complement your existing selection and to meet the requirements for your site. Please see our product range page for more information.

What price can I sell the products in the machine for?

This is up to you. We provide a recommended vend price for all products in our range. This is just a guideline however, and you are free to price products at whatever level is right for your customers. We also train your staff on how to change the prices in the machine and provide price labels making it easy for you to change prices when it suits you best.

How do I know how to set out the machine to ensure I reach my sales potential?

Provided within the NESTLÉ® MULTISNACK® Solution is information and advice on machine layouts. NESTLÉ® is committed to researching into the best merchandising techniques for customers and NESTLÉ® MULTISNACK® will ensure that you know how to best set out your machine to suit the type of site you operate in. Machine queries

How big are the machines?

Our machines vary in size and shape to fit different locations. Please browse our machine range page for full information on the specific dimensions.

How quickly can I get a machine?

Our standard lead time for machine installation is 3 weeks from receipt of a signed agreement. However, we work hard to exceed this time and often do. If you require a machine urgently, please let us know and we will do all we can to get it to you as soon as possible.

Can I buy the machine outright?

From time to time, we do sell second hand machines. Please contact the NESTLÉ® MULTISNACK® team to find out if we are currently selling machines.

My site is high risk. Do you have a machine that is vandal resistant?

We provide a number of options for high risk sites. One of these is to replace the glass front of the machine with Makrolon which is smash resistant. Another option is to site a cage around your machine, as this adds extra protection and blocks potential vandals. In addition, all MULTISNACK® machines are fitted with an anti-theft delivery bin and a lockable steel cash box. Please see our machine range for further information on vandal resistant options.

We always advise that if you have a high risk site, you should consult your insurer with regards to any damage to the machine which may be caused by vandalism as our maintenance package does not include this. If your machine has been vandalised, please contact us and for a small fee, we will send an engineer to your site to fix it straight away, ensuring any sales lost will be minimised.

I have a card payment system at my site. Can you fit card readers?

Yes we can. If you would like a card reader fitted please let us know when booking your machine. If the reader is compatible, send it in to our workshop and we will fit it for you so that when your machine is delivered and installed, it is up and running straight away. Please note that in some cases an additional charge may be incurred for this service.

Do you have a machine that can go outside?

Yes, we have three options for outdoor sites. Both our KIT KAT closed-fronted machines and VITTEL® machines are manufactured to be weather resistant. Alternatively, we can convert a MULTISNACK® glass-fronted machine to be suitable for outdoor use. Please note that for this option, the machine would need to be sited in a cage or under cover. Please see our machine range page for further information on these options.

I run a site which is only open in the summer months. Will I still be able to have a machine?

Yes, this is not a problem. We are happy to provide machines for sites which do not trade all year round and we already work with many sites where this is the situation. Please let us know the months your site is open and we will be able to organise a suitable package to accommodate this.

Service queries

How long is a contract for and can I cancel it before the end?

When signing up to the NESTLÉ® MULTISNACK® Solution you will be asked to sign a 3 year contract. If you would like your machine uplifted within this period, an uplift fee will be charged. After this we will uplift the machine for free, all we ask is for 3 months notice.

I do not want the hassle of filling the machine. What can you offer me?

If you would like a vending machine on site but would like someone else to manage the stock replenishment for you, we can put you in touch with a Vending Operator who can provide this service. Please tell us your requirements and we will forward your details to one of our Operator partners who will contact you to discuss the service and terms they offer.

What do I do if I need any help with the machine once it is on site?

When a machine is installed, we provide full training, and an easy to read guide to operating the machine. We also have both a customer helpline for general queries, and a technical helpline for queries relating to the machine. To complement this service, our machine partner General Vending Services have over 100 dedicated engineers nationwide. If a site visit is necessary, your local engineer will respond to your request within 8 working hours, 6 days a week. This year we have maintained a first time fix rate of over 96%, ensuring you are up and running again as quickly as possible.

I am a catering manager at a further education college. Several times a week we have children visiting our site from the local secondary school. How can I stop them from using the vending machines when they are on site?

All MULTISNACK® machines are fitted with programmable timers. This means that you can control when the machine can and cannot be used. When you de-activate the machine, the lights will turn off to indicate the machine is not in use, but the chiller will continue running to ensure the products stay in perfect condition.
